"An Unearthly Child"
The TARDIS noises and exterior are the same as the new version. It's remarkably comforting since the Doctor is kind of a dick. He has such disdain for humans. I wonder if his granddaughter's love of them is what makes him come around. She oddly sounds French? I've found myself surprised at how good the acting/production is. I was expecting something...campier?
"The Cave of Skulls"
Welp. There goes the chameleon circuit. Lots of other people's issues...Lots of cliffhangers... (I was setting up the blog during most of this one so...not a lot of commentary)
"The Forest of Fear"
Creepy old lady is smelling rocks...what?
Oh. There's the 60's shrieking woman.
I've realized what else makes this familiar. The sound quality of the dialogue reminds me of the old radio shows. Delicate death...oh. Not dead.
Conniving girlfriend. Mysterious monster sounds like the Lost island smoke monster.
Barbara is an annoying hysterical mess...>< Wow...that native woman is more annoying. Oh god. And Barbara is too damn headstrong..."Don't wander off!"
Hah pouty Doctor. That's no surprise.
"The Firemaker"
Good old mob mentality...It's interesting to see how much this series of episodes shows how the Doctor is influencing the people he visits. Way more than the new stuff.I wonder why the Doctor's party doesn't help the caveman they want to succeed. It seems silly. Fire looks funny on screen. Another thing you don't see now: slightly misspoken lines. I like it. Barbara falls down: still the most useless person in the group.
MOAR CLIFFHANGER!!
