Well, this should be interesting. These are reconstructed episodes that were missing.
Ooh color!
"The Roof of the World"
I wonder if this flashback was the original...I highly doubt it since they have the actor as an older man doing a flashback?
Oh. There's the usual theme...in COLOR!
OH. We have the audio, and lots of photos. Lovely.
NOOOOO Don't split up! >< Hasn't she learned yet?
SCREAMING! ><
Thanks subtitles.
Boy I hope Marco Polo isn't about to be a douche. Damn. There you go.
Doctor done lost his mind...
"The Singing Sands" That was...ok...
*~* Break while I took finals and did all sorts of other things not related to this painful adventure because 5 more just sounded like work *~*
"Five Hundred Eyes"
Oh how I've missed this panning over photos footage!
Crazy Marco Polo not knowing about condensation.
Dumb move Barbara. Don't follow him ><
Angry gurgle!
Yeah, cause yelling was a great idea...
"The Wall of Lies"
Boy can those women scream...
Seriously, why doesn't everyone just be like 'Tegana, you're a douche. We don't believe you.'? Oy. This is irritating. How can a leader supposedly as legit as Marco Polo be so stupid and easily swayed? ><
Way to go with a plan...
Was that the Doctor laughing...again?
Why wouldn't you trust your supposedly most loyal servant?
Yeah, that's what I thought...
"Rider from Shang-Tu"
We suddenly have an Italian man who is supposedly Asian? Sounds like a lady, with a mustache?
A betrayal by Ping-Cho? You don't say...Maybe you should have been kinder to her...Idiot.
Oh. Sneaky bitch. Found a loophole.
Susan is not very bright...
"Mighty Kublai Khan"
Yeah...cause patchy looks so trustworthy....
Seriously, his title is War Lord...how the hell does that sound trustworthy?
I'm super bummed I don't get to watch the Doctor and Khan toddling out together.
"Assassin at Peking"
Ah. The Khan sees Tegana's an ass. Maybe he is fit to be in charge.
*phew* Finally. 7 parts and we're done... ><

The Edge of Destruction
"The Edge of Destruction"
Suddenly, we've all forgotten everything...'heart' only one?
Aie. Approaching controls -> spinny spasms. Great.
Shadows? Vashta nerada? Oh god the screaming >< Theramin?..oh. the end. That was quick. Much better pacing than the previous.
"The Brink of Disaster"
Midnight much? This is way bizarre. Very 'Suspense'.
Srsly? We just almost got destroyed because of a sticky button?! ><
Snowball fight in the Tardis!

The Mutants (Daleks!)
"The Dead Planet" (Planet of the Dead?...I miss David...)
'Stay near the ship' she's a quick one. I wish more of them were like that.
Whenever they talk about the TARDIS taking them places, I think of Idris talking about taking the Doctor wherever he needs to go etc
Why do they keep wandering out into the worlds without any clue where they're headed?
A cross between lembas bread and that Wonka bubble gum that is a full meal
Conniving bastard...that was a bit dangerous, breaking the TARDIS...
Why didn't they double-check the radiation levels?
Barbara? Lost again? You don't say...EYESTALK CLIFFHANGER!
"The Survivors"
DALEKS!!!!!!! Same voice. More active stalks...One of them has a stuffy nose...Huh. Shoot to maim. That's new. Heh. Radiation sickness. How 60's. I miss the Tardis being able to pop in and out of secure rooms to save people.
"The Escape"
Another epic war with Dalek kind >< New Dalek with man inside. Great.
"The Ambush"
S'a bit slow moving...ARG And more regression...welp. Back to the city I guess
"The Expedition"
Jesus Christ! Even the Daleks are obnoxious when injured and wailing!
Sonic chamber. That reminds me: still haven't seen the sonic screwdriver.
Why would you wash your face in mutant water?! Some of these sound effects remind me of Lost. Or maybe it's just the jungle.
"The Ordeal"
That building was a screw...gotta love a model!
Arbitrary knowledge of "Ladies first"?
Okay, okay, we're getting everyone across...surprise, surprise, the nub who wanted to turn back endangers Ian.
LITERAL CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!!!
"The Rescue"
Welp.
That whole thing was far longer than it needed to be.

An Unearthly Child
"An Unearthly Child"
The TARDIS noises and exterior are the same as the new version. It's remarkably comforting since the Doctor is kind of a dick. He has such disdain for humans. I wonder if his granddaughter's love of them is what makes him come around. She oddly sounds French? I've found myself surprised at how good the acting/production is. I was expecting something...campier?
"The Cave of Skulls"
Welp. There goes the chameleon circuit. Lots of other people's issues...Lots of cliffhangers... (I was setting up the blog during most of this one so...not a lot of commentary)
"The Forest of Fear"
Creepy old lady is smelling rocks...what?
Oh. There's the 60's shrieking woman.
I've realized what else makes this familiar. The sound quality of the dialogue reminds me of the old radio shows. Delicate death...oh. Not dead.
Conniving girlfriend. Mysterious monster sounds like the Lost island smoke monster.
Barbara is an annoying hysterical mess...>< Wow...that native woman is more annoying. Oh god. And Barbara is too damn headstrong..."Don't wander off!"
Hah pouty Doctor. That's no surprise.
"The Firemaker"
Good old mob mentality...It's interesting to see how much this series of episodes shows how the Doctor is influencing the people he visits. Way more than the new stuff.I wonder why the Doctor's party doesn't help the caveman they want to succeed. It seems silly. Fire looks funny on screen. Another thing you don't see now: slightly misspoken lines. I like it. Barbara falls down: still the most useless person in the group.

A New Adventure
I've just started watching the old Doctor Who from the beginning. I figure to keep me busy while I watch, I'll blog a bit with questions, predictions, commentary, etc. Spoilers *will* abound. Fair warning now.
